Harold P. Wright '49. Two years after leaving NHS Harold joined the Navy, eventually winding up in Japan. He earned a BA in Japanese (1959) and an MA in Asian Studies (1960) at the University of Hawaii. He was a graduate student and researcher in New York and Tokyo (1960-65), an instructor of Japanese Language and Literature at Ohio U. (1965-71), and a professor of Japanese at Wright State U. (1973-2005). He has authored 23 books mainly about Japan and Ohio. He and his wife are storytellers.
