Born in 1954, Dan Alan Pfaff attended Northridge schools and graduated from NHS in 1972. He earned a BS in Education at Wright State University in 1976. After coaching high school track for a few years, he went to the University of Houston as a graduate assistant, earning his MEd in sport science. After coaching successfully at the college level for about 25 years, Dan was recently hired as the personal coach of the world’s fastest couple, Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery. Dan has also coached 28 individual NCAA champions, 148 All-Americans, 27 Olympians, 39 World Championship competitors, and four world record-holders.
