Teacher, Coach, Principal: Born 1929; graduated Elkhart (IN) HS 1948; BA from DePauw U. 1952; MS from Miami U. 1962. Dave spent all but a few months of his teaching career at NHS, teaching social studies, coaching football and baseball, and ending as principal 1964-67. Worked for Josten’s Jewelry Co. until his death from Lou Gehrig’s disease in 1978. NHS auditorium is named in his honor. Memorial scholarships have been given in his name for over 20 years. He and Mary Lou have four children.
