Performing Arts
Teacher, Singer, Actor: NHS Class of ’58. Degrees include a BS in Education, an MA, and a Ph.D. in theater, film, and curriculum development from OSU. Taught 2 years at NHS, then moved to Columbus, where he has served 25 years as theater department chair at Fort Hayes School for the Performing Arts. He has written, recorded music, songs, appeared in or directed about 150 plays, is a reserve Franklin Sheriff’s deputy, and was recently inducted into the Ohio Theater Hall of Fame. Phill and Debbie have two children, Megan and Jarrod.
