OAESA Hall of Fame School

Dear Timberlane Staff, School Board Members, Volunteers, and Supporters,

It is with great joy that I share with you that Timberlane Learning Center has been named one of SIX schools across the state who are recognized as an OAESA Hall of Fame School this year. I received a telephone call early this morning from Julie Davis, Chief Executive Officer of OAESA, to congratulate us on the accomplishments of Timberlane staff, students, and families of Northridge. Though I shared this earlier today with Timberlane staff, I wanted to be sure to share it with everyone as soon as we received the official notification.

The official announcement is below and we will receive more information regarding the presentation of the award in the coming days. A couple of notes that I made during our conversation this morning included a commendation for an outstanding written application following the nomination, that the site visitors were thrilled with what they saw when they were here at Timberlane in March.

She also shared that OAESA is pleased to highlight the possibilities (showing TLC as a model school with preschool & full day kindergarten) & the importance of early learning and how that impacts third grade reading.

We will want to plan a celebration to share this honor with our students, parents, and community. Staff will work together with our team, including our PTO, superintendent, etc. to plan a celebration event.

As always, thanks to all of you for your continued dedication to making Timberlane Learning Center the very best place for our students to experience their first formal learning. It is the contributions made by ALL of you included in this email and many more that make Timberlane Learning Center worthy of this award. We will always continue to strive for success!

Mrs. Koehl
