Polar
Bear 5K Fun Run/Walk Results: The
First Annual Polar Bear 5K Fun Run/Walk was a tremendous
success! We had 145 runners and walkers, nearly 30 student
volunteers, and plenty of sunshine for our exciting event.
We exceeded our goals and expectations, and most
importantly raised
$1800 for the
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Special
thanks go to Larry Farmer, Sonny Szekely, Dru Simmons and
Martha Fisher for volunteering their time to help make this
event run so smoothly. Congratulations to the Northridge
High School Student Council for your efforts, especially
President Mel Scott and Security Coordinator William
Coleman. Thank you all so much for your support. We look
forward to seeing you at the Second Annual Polar Bear Fun
Run/Walk on Saturday, May 7, 2011!
Relay
for Life Results:
The NHS Jags classes sponsored their annual Relay for LIfe.
Many activities and fundraisers resulted in a grand total
of $4604.86 raised for cancer research. GREAT
JOB!
